Senior VP/General Manager
Where did you grow up?
Seattle Washington, USA
What have you studied? What led you to pick that degree/qualification?
I originally studied Marine Sciences (I thought I wanted to be Jacque Cousteau), I later studied Industrial Technology (I taught for a semester). I was a professional musician for seven years but eventually caught the computer bug which set my IT career in motion.
In my later years I completed a 3 year Ministry Institute program (special emphasis on counselling and biblical world view), and studied Literary & Genre Fiction Writing.
What area of the world do you currently live in?
I still live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest
How long have you worked here?
20 Years.
What other companies have you worked for and what do you love about your role at venue360?
I've previously worked for Pacific Telesis (now part of AT&T) providing IT products and services, networking, connectivity and telephony solutions. From there a number of other IT roles which included two Microsoft Spinoffs, GE Capital (IT Solutions), and a Pre-IPO Managed Services Provider.
I then worked as an independent process improvement consultant, which is how I first met our CEO, Chris Lategan and the team.
There are many reasons I love working with venue360; having the opportunity to come alongside so many camps and experience firsthand how they make a difference in their part of the world. It is a joy to see how the venue360 software team helps camps become more effective and efficient in what they do, it's absolutely one of the best groups I have had the pleasure of working with - I also get the opportunity to visit Australia (my home away from home)
